The relatives of teenagers missing after a deadly fire at a venue in a Swiss ski resort are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and requesting clues about their children publicly.

The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Confirmed video depict the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another 119. Authorities said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been identified, with efforts continuing to identify the final individuals.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "young athlete who represented passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent said that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and found himself at the venue.
