Franchise leads Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are confirmed to appear in the upcoming Hunger Games instalment, Sunrise on the Reaping.
Reports indicate that fan-favorite actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
An Important Return to Panem
The duo will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their cameos will take the form of a future-set scene, considering the original saga concluded with their characters settled into family life.
This represents the sixth film in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.
The Source Material
Sunrise on the Reaping is based upon a newly published work by series creator Suzanne Collins. It acts as the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who was behind nearly all the previous films in the series.

The film's narrative are set 24 years before the first Hunger Games, centering on a young Haymitch Abernathy. Haymitch, destined to become Katniss's mentor, is shown as a tribute in the notorious 50th Hunger Games.

- Ralph Fiennes takes on the part of a younger version of the calculating President Snow.
